AXIOM GLOBAL DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES ? Executive ...

AXIOM GLOBAL
DIRECTOR, HUMAN RESOURCES

The Company

Axiom (www.axiomlegal.com) represents a wildly disruptive innovation in the legal profession. The Company is the first ever and world?s leading, next-generation, professional services firm, focusing on outsourced legal services for the Fortune 500. Axiom provides exceptionally talented legal professionals and specialized processes that have changed the view on the traditional law firm/corporate counsel relationship.

Axiom has offices in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Washington D.C., Boston, Hong Kong, Singapore and London and has plans for further expansion beginning in additional American cities, continental Europe and India. The firm achieved 2010 revenues of $75 million and are on pace to surpass $100 million in 2011. Axiom works with half of the Fortune 100, and clients include Cisco, Google, Honeywell, NBC, Avon, Yahoo! and many of the world?s largest financial institutions. Axiom?s unique approach has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and on the cover of The National Law Journal.

By putting the prototypical law firm in a wind tunnel, the way engineers would, and stripping away everything that is unnecessary or creating drag, Axiom created an entirely new approach to practicing law for half (or less) cost compared with the traditional firm. They have reengineered the model by flattening the pyramid cost structure and providing a new and refreshing angle for top-tier attorneys put off by the oppressiveness of the traditional law firm. They provide a blended delivery model that includes onsite and virtual services to corporate clients. Its services are delivered through highly skilled, professional attorneys. The company attracts driven, talented attorneys seeking greater empowerment and reward than is available through traditional legal career channels. Thus, Axiom has created the first real alternative to the traditional law firm.

The team is attempting to completely ?disrupt? the status quo of the $200 billion legal industry. Attorneys are equipped to offer a full range of services, essentially anything that requires great lawyers, but doesn?t require the heavy overhead of a law firm. They handle a broad spectrum of commercial work ranging from employment counseling, patent prosecution, intellectual property, litigation, discovery and mergers and acquisitions, among other areas.

Axiom provides an outlet for highly specialized attorneys who are looking to opt out of the ?tournament for partnership? lifestyle in search for a better work-life balance. Instead of working as an overpriced, overworked, undervalued associate in a white shoe law firm, Axiom attorney?s are able to work on exciting engagements with clients such as American Express, Cisco, Honeywell, Goldman Sachs, eBay, Google, NBC and Yahoo. The attorney?s are able to creatively practice law for some of the biggest and best corporations in the country, within an organization that truly values their service. And they are able to choose the projects and companies they want to work with so they are entirely bought in and motivated to deliver. With Axiom, attorneys are able to do what they love most- practice law- while having a variety of close client relationships, an element of self-determination and the chance to change the way law is traditionally practiced.

Axiom has quickly gained recognition not only as one of the nation?s premiere growth companies, but also as one of the legal industry?s most exciting innovations. The company has been named as one of the ?100 Hottest Companies? by both PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Entrepreneur magazine, and was named as one of the nation?s ?50 Most Innovative Companies? by Fast Company. Axiom won Ernst & Young?s ?Entrepreneur of Year Award?, and also received British Legal?s ?Law Firm Innovation Award? . Axiom has been featured in several national and international business publications, including The Wall Street Journal and the Financial Times.
