Notre Dame football: Fans react to Kelly's decision and the process

Notre Dame announced Saturday evening that head football coach Brian Kelly was no longer a candidate for the Philadelphia Eagles job that he interviewed for on Tuesday and that he would be returning to ND for this fourth season.

@Tmoorehead627: I feel like BK, JS, and ND in general could have done a better job communicating with everyone.

@irishfan8891: Had been huge BK fan. Sad he considered it at all. Usually very media savvy so stunned he handled so poorly. Lost some cred.

@wizardofrob: When everyone is done tearing him down, I hope they give a suggestion of how else he could have handled it. I blame ESPN.

@IrishLoyalSon: He handled it fine, media = a bunch of sensationalists & rumor mongers.

@DNHteach: Interview anywhere by Philly & wish it didn't happen so close to the 'ship. It felt dirty. Glad he's back!

@shamrockhead: I just hope he 100% means what he said about the reasons he wanted to stay; otherwise it might've been better for him to go.

@noahrienks: I was a little disgusted by it. Both by how the Eagles leaked the info, and how we lost recruits. Could b done better.

@irishchitown: I don?t like the way he handled it with his early recruits, leaving them out to dry for a few days, unless there?s more to it.

@jnewt09: Glad he's staying. Handled it badly, and I predict a couple more recruiting defections.
