WASHINGTON ? Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul said Sunday the apparent overthrow of Moammar Gadhafi's regime in Libya does not justify U.S. involvement there and may end up delivering al-Qaida what he called "another prize."

Asked on "Fox News Sunday" whether getting rid of Gadhafi was a good thing, Paul conceded that it was but added that Gadhafi's departure did not mean the long-term result would be good for the United States. He said that getting rid of Saddam Hussein was also good, but that the long-term result in Iraq has not been a success for the U.S.

"We've delivered Iraq to the Iranians," he said.

Paul said troops are already required to ensure order in Libya and that no one knows who the rebels in Libya represent.

"We have no idea of what's going to come out of Libya. I'm very skeptical," he said.

Paul said U.S. foreign policy should be focused on national security. Instead, he said, its foreign policy has drifted toward picking dictators around the world.

He said he resents the power that has flowed to the executive branch and the judiciary.

"I want to obey the Constitution and follow its very great restrictions on the government," he said.

Paul's disdain for government interaction continued with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, which has worked to help people along the East Coast deal with Hurricane Irene. He called the concept of FEMA a gross distortion of what insurance is supposed to provide and that it encourages people to build in unsafe areas, namely along beaches.

"FEMA has been around since 1978. It has one of the worst reputations for a bureaucracy ever," Paul said. "You can't imagine how many calls we get because FEMA is getting in the way and they can't get their checks, they can't get their bailout."

LucasArts Hiring for 'Open World RPG', News from GamePro

A job listing on LucasArts' site is seeking a gameplay engineer for an as-yet unannounced open world RPG.

LucasArts is working on a new game, it seems: an open world RPG. How do we know this? This job listing.

The listing doesn't offer any hints as to what the game might be, and even following up on staff members likely to be working on the project doesn't turn up anything useful -- for once, no-one seems to have let the cat out of the bag on LinkedIn. Clint "@ClickNothing" Hocking, a creative director at LucasArts, tweeted the job postings yesterday. Hocking has previously worked on the Splinter Cell franchise and Far Cry 2 and is currently, according to his Twitter bio and LinkedIn profile, working on an "unannounced project" for LucasArts -- presumably this open world RPG in question. Hocking's work on Far Cry 2 certainly gives him the credentials to put together a convincing open world game -- but what will it be?

Certainly a great percentage of a homes materials can come from a pre-used source. I know of one yoga studio that has the most gorgeous wood floors reclaimed from an old Bank of America historic building that was being refurbished. And it was free! Only the cost of removal! What a conversation piece! Just as relevant are materials derived from easily renewable sources, bamboo versus ancient oak trees.

The paint we use, low or zero VOC paint. You know that ?new home smell? we all love, usually from a fresh coat of paint? Well that?s the smell of your lungs being poisoned! There are many sources of green power or at least eco choices, such as solar panels for electricity, natural day lighting via skylights and low voltage lighting for the evening. Site orientation makes such a difference, imagine orienting the home toward the sun in colder climates and alternatively catching cool breezes in warmer climates? Not only that but using landscaping to help. Deciduous trees to shade windows in the summer, yet let in warm sun in the winter. Green comes in many shades! Overall, we should seek durable, healthy, sustain-ably sourced ?green? building materials, ones that are non-toxic thus helping improve indoor air quality.

In the garden permeable paving helps guide ?fresh? water to underground tables rather than run off via drain pipes to the salt water ocean. The use of native, zero or low water use gardens not only replace a strange obsession with antiquated English grass lawns but also encourage native birds and butterflies into your garden! Green landscaping can create a truly magical garden.
