LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KTHV) - The Weather Channel has ranked Little Rock as 5th in the top 10 tornado cities in the US.
According to the Weather Channel, several tornado outbreaks have occurred in Arkansas, with the greater Little Rock area being a prime target for the dangerous storms.
One particular tornadic event that meteorologists pointed out was the Benton storm in 1997 that produced an F-4 tornado on March 1; the storm system produced up to 39 tornadoes across the south in the course of two days.
